Georgia Received Several MLN Euros Of Aid From The EU For The Development Of Various Fields - Darchiashvili

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia declares, that within the framework of the Association Agreement, Georgia has received several million Euros of financial assistance from the European Union for the development of various fields.

As Ilia Darchiashvili notes, Georgia has already fulfilled 55% of the obligations under the Association Agreement and 65% of the components of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA).

"Georgia received several million Euros of financial assistance for the development of various fields, including agriculture and production, education, culture, science, innovation and other directions;

With the signing of the Association Agreement, additional impetus was given to participation in EU framework programs (ERASMUS+, Horizon 2020, Creative Europe) and cooperation with European agencies (FRONTEX, EUROPOL, EUROJUST, etc.).

Georgia ranks 6th in terms of participation in the ERASMUS program.

The association agreement facilitated the cooperation of Georgia with the European Union in the field of culture, including the presentation and promotion of Georgian culture in the EU member states.

The association agreement contributed to the improvement of the investment climate of Georgia, in particular, in the case of investing and manufacturing products on the territory of Georgia, investors are allowed to export their products to the EU market without taxes", - the statement of the Minister of Foreign Affairs reads.
