Georgia bought 2,886 tons of strawberries worth USD 4.03 million between January and June, which was 99.5% more than last year's reporting period. Meanwhile, in 1H2023, 3,461 tons of strawberries worth of USD 936.5 thousand were exported to Georgia.
TOP Exporting Countries To Georgia:
Turkey - 2,852 tons, worth of USD 3.9 million;
Greece - 17.6 tons, worth of USD 25.6 thousand;
Azerbaijan - 14.2 tons, worth of USD 17 thousand;
Egypt - 1.4 tons, worth of USD 2.9 thousand.
As for local exports, 138 tons of Georgian strawberries were sold this year out of 216.1 thousand, which was 32.3% more than last year.
The main exporting market in 2024 was Armenia, where 111 tons of strawberries worth USD 137.2 thousand were sold. 27 tons of strawberries worth USD 78.9 thousand were exported from Georgia to Russia.
It should be noted that strawberry exports hit a record high this year.
