The Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, has announced that the implementation of the law on paid internships for young people will commence in pilot mode this year.

According to Kobakhidze, at least two to three thousand university graduates will have the opportunity to undergo paid internships in state structures for a minimum of four months.

Additionally, the government aims to collaborate with municipalities and the private sector to provide young people with opportunities for paid internships in various sectors.

“I request the Minister of Education, in collaboration with the Minister of Finance, to provide a comprehensive plan for the upcoming government session. This plan should outline paid internship opportunities for young graduates, encompassing positions within governmental bodies and municipalities and fostering collaboration with the private sector,” stated Irakli Kobakhidze.
