Georgian airports served 5.6 million passengers from January to August 2025,- according to Tamar Ioseliani, Chair of the Supervisory Board of Georgia Airports Association. She made the statement at an event marking the 20th anniversary of TAV Georgia’s operations.
Ioseliani noted that TAV’s 20 years in Georgia demonstrate successful cooperation between the government and a private partner.
“It is significant that TAV Airports began operations in Georgia when Tbilisi International Airport handled only about 550,000 passengers annually. Today, we serve more than 5 million passengers each year,” she said.
She emphasized that the 5.6 million passengers in just eight months underscores the unprecedented growth of the aviation sector in Georgia.
