Commercial banks operating in Georgia earned a total profit of 2.13 billion GEL in the first eight months of 2025, according to financial statements submitted to the National Bank of Georgia (NBG). This represents an increase of 109 million GEL, or 5.4%, compared to the same period in 2024.
According to the report, Bank of Georgia remains the most profitable, reporting 1.09 billion GEL, a 9.5% increase year-on-year. TBC Bank ranks second with 795 million GEL, up 1.8% annually. Liberty Bank holds third place, earning 85.7 million GEL, a 13.2% increase from the previous year.
Four commercial banks reported losses in the same period. The largest loss was recorded by VTB Bank, at 43.8 million GEL, whose operations have been effectively suspended due to sanctions imposed in February 2022.

7. ProCredit Bank - profit of 19 million GEL; decrease of -13.8% y-o-y
8. Terabank - profit of 19 million GEL; decrease of -2.9% y-o-y
9. Halyk Bank - profit of 12 million GEL; decrease of -6.2% y-o-y
10. Microbank Crystal - profit of 11 million GEL; the bank will operate from 2025
11. Is Bank - profit of 10 million GEL; decrease of -2.7% y-o-y
12. Microbank MBC - profit of 5 million GEL; the bank will operate from 2025
13. Ziraat Bank - profit of 4 million GEL; increase of 4.8% y-o-y
14. Paye Bank - profit of 0.8 million GEL; the bank had a loss of 0.2 million last year
15. Pasha Bank - profit of 0.5 million GEL; decrease of -91.7% y-o-y
16. Paysera - loss of -0.9 million GEL; decrease of 0.9 million y-o-y
17. Hashbank - loss of -7.4 million GEL; the bank had a loss of 2.6 million GEL y-o-y
18. Silk Bank - loss of -15.0 million GEL; the bank had a loss of 7 million GEL last year
19. VTB Bank - loss of -43.8 million GEL; the bank had a loss of 3.4 million GEL last year
