Georgian business is European, it works in a European way and has nothing to hide from the Georgian people, neither the government nor the non-governmental sector should have anything to hide from the Georgian people, - businessman Vano Chkhartishvili told TV-company "Imedi".
Chkhartishvili writes in a statement that the government is doing everything in words and deeds to strengthen Georgia's historic European choice.
"The government's doors are open for business, which is manifested in the government's support for businessmen's initiatives and working together on a favorable legislative environment, as well as in the implementation of business promotion campaigns. I can't recall any more or less important initiative of the government, which was related to business, and was not discussed with businessmen before its official adoption.
It is important for us that the government does everything in words and deeds to strengthen our historic European choice. It is a fact that during their rule, the Association Agreement with the European Union was signed, visa liberalization, the free trade regime was put into effect, and the candidature of the European Union was accepted. We are also convinced that the shortest way to EU membership is to strengthen our sovereignty. It is also the shortest way to strengthen our business, increase employment and prosperity, without which we simply cannot become a full-fledged partner of Europe. Being a member of the big family of the European Union means: peace, stability and, of course, openly and transparently doing public affairs together," the businessman says.
