Georgian clothing manufacturer Rumor has doubled its production capacity after moving to a new facility in Tbilisi in September. The company invested GEL 30,000 in machinery and equipment, financing the expansion from its own profits, founder Mariam Gogibedashvili told BMGTV’s program Women’s Narrative.
Rumor currently focuses primarily on corporate uniforms, having temporarily paused its women’s casual clothing collections after demand for business-to-business orders surged. Its corporate clients include PSP Group, Nikora, Madart, Gastronom Group and Amboli, which joined the company’s client base in 2026. Gogibedashvili said partnerships with major businesses help ensure stability, while uniforms also serve as a branding tool and provide employees with comfortable workwear.
With its expanded production capacity, Rumor plans to resume its own collections alongside corporate orders. The company is developing a new sportswear line, with the first designs expected to go on sale by the end of October. The collection explores contrasts in human nature, such as calmness and energy, strength and softness, using two colors and rounded geometric shapes.
Rumor currently employs around 15 people and expects its increased capacity to help attract more clients and business partners.
