The Georgian taxi company "Rashi" is starting to cooperate with the striking drivers of "Yandex" and "Bolt". In an interview with BM.GE, the founder of "Rashi", Nodar Latsabidze, spoke about this.

According to him, they have taken responsibility to offer better working conditions to the striking drivers. As the founder of "Rashi" noted, the goal of their company will be to employ only Georgian taxi drivers, since against the background of the increased number of foreign taxi drivers, Georgian taxi drivers are in inadequate conditions.

“Our cooperation with taxi drivers has already been officially established. A specific working group will be allocated, which will voice and implement the interests of drivers in the company. We, as the company “Rashi”, also take responsibility for protecting their interests. There will be a bonus system. In addition, the service commission will also be agreed with the drivers. We take responsibility for improving their working conditions.

We do not want to employ foreign drivers, because this has led to inappropriate conditions for Georgian drivers. At the first stage, we are talking about partnering 500 drivers who will transfer from “Bolt” and “Yandex” to us and be employed,” said the founder of “Rashi”.

At this stage, 1,800 taxi drivers are registered with the company throughout Tbilisi. However, it is planned to increase the number to 4,000.
