According to Kakha Kaladze, Secretary General of Georgian Dream party, 2020 rally will be held with a mixed electoral system.
Kakha Kaladze stated at the briefing, held in Georgian Dream headquarter.
According to him, the ruling party will not nominate their candidates in those majoritarian constituencies, where representatives of the National Movement, as well as other opposition party or independent candidate have a real chance of winning.
“We have decided not to nominate our candidates in the majoritarian constituencies, where representatives of the National Movement, as well as other opposition party or independent candidate have a real chance of winning. As a result, we will ensure the maximum political diversity of the future parliament, pave the way to the weak but authoritarian political groups in order to participate directly in the implementation of the government. However, it has been the main idea of our election proposal in June”, Kaladze said.
