The exporting price of Georgian kiwi has increased, while the product exports hit a record high. In particular, according to Geostat data, in January-February of this year, Georgia exported 39 tons of kiwi worth 105,260 USD. Last year, in the same period, kiwi exports amounted to 45 tons worth 93,220 USD.
As for the total data of last year, in 2024, kiwi exports amounted to 630,010 USD and 270 tons. In 2023, this figure was higher - 937,680 USD and 390 tons, respectively.
The main exporting market for Georgian kiwi is Japan. In the first two months of this year, almost all exports went to this country (103,420 USD), and a small amount of kiwi worth 1,840 USD was exported to Armenia.
Last year, the main markets were Japan and Armenia; however, in 2024, a small amount - 19 tons of Georgian kiwi worth 21,150 USD - was also exported to Russia.
Kiwi was one of the most expensive products in Georgia in March. The price of this fruit increased by 52% in March 2025 compared to March 2024.
