The Georgian passport now holds the 44th place in the Henley Passport Index, which ranks passports of the world according to the number of countries their holders can travel to visa-free.
With the ability to travel freely to the European Union/Schengen Zone, the Georgian passport allows citizens can travel to 122 states without requirement of visas, and has seen it advance six positions in the Index since the previous rating.
The ranking is based on data provided by the International Air Transport Association, which maintains the world’s largest and most comprehensive database of travel information.
Singapore, nationals of which have visa-free access to 195 countries, leads the Index.
