Georgian Post Reports A Loss in 2025

Georgian Post ended 2025 with a loss of 7 million GEL, but the company is now preparing to return to profitability in 2026. According to its Director General, Giorgi Eradze, previously unprofitable business segments have already transitioned into revenue-generating operations.

Eradze stated that reforms implemented over the past seven months focused on improving operational efficiency, restoring financial stability, and ensuring sustainable development. As part of these changes, business processes are gradually being brought back in-house, moving away from intermediary-based models.

The company is also planning to expand its international logistics operations, including developing new hubs and improving accessibility routes. In addition, Georgian Post has restored its air terminal and signed agreements with airlines, reducing terminal service costs and shortening delivery transit times.

Despite last year’s losses, the company expects to become profitable for the first time in five years in 2026—a goal also publicly supported by Irakli Kobakhidze.
