Georgian Post LLC ended 2025 with a loss of GEL 8.6 million, compared with a profit of GEL 864,000 in 2024, according to the company’s audited financial statements.
The company’s revenue amounted to GEL 82.3 million last year, down 3.5% year-on-year. The main reason was a decline in income from postal services, which fell from GEL 55.8 million in 2024 to GEL 52.3 million in 2025. Revenue from delivery and parcel services increased slightly to GEL 29.7 million, but was not enough to offset the overall decline.
Personnel expenses remained the largest cost component, rising to GEL 39.7 million in 2025 from GEL 35.7 million a year earlier. By the end of the year, the company’s total assets stood at GEL 92.7 million, while accumulated losses reached GEL 20.6 million.
Independent auditor Baker Tilly Georgia issued a qualified opinion on the financial statements, citing insufficient audit evidence regarding certain obligations and noting that the company’s future operations depend to some extent on state support.
Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said in June that Georgian Post would return to profit in 2026 following staff optimization, cost reductions and operational changes. According to him, the company reduced its workforce by 102 employees and plans further efficiency measures aimed at improving financial performance.
