During the opening events of the Winter Olympic Games, Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili and Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili met with U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
According to the Presidential Administration, Kavelashvili and Botchorishvili attended a reception hosted by International Olympic Committee President Kirsty Coventry. At the event, they engaged with leaders from various countries, highlighting the shared values between Georgia and the United States.
President Kavelashvili will also attend a dinner hosted by Italian President Sergio Mattarella in honor of the heads of state present at the opening ceremony of the XXV Winter Olympic Games.
