Georgian wine promotion campaign launches in U.S. supermarkets

ღვინო

Georgian wine tastings have taken place across 20 supermarkets and retail outlets specialising in wine and related products in Massachusetts, with the support of the National Wine Agency and organised by the American partner company Saperavi Brothers.

At each event, five varieties of Georgian wine from three different producers were presented for tasting within designated promotional spaces.

The series of Georgian wine tasting events organised by Saperavi Brothers commenced in July and will continue through December.

These consumer-focused events aim to diversify Georgia’s export markets and drive sales growth of Georgian wine.

The United States remains a key strategic market for Georgian wine. Since 2013, targeted marketing efforts supported by the National Wine Agency have significantly increased both awareness and exports of Georgian wine nationwide.

The Agency’s marketing campaign in the United States is conducted in partnership with the leading American marketing firm Colangelo & Partners. As part of this initiative, tastings are held in various American cities for wine professionals and trade representatives; Georgian wines are showcased at international exhibitions; and organised wine tours in Georgia offer media, sommeliers, and sales representatives the opportunity to deepen their understanding and promote Georgian wine more effectively within the American market.

Furthermore, to bolster Georgian wine’s presence in the U.S., the National Wine Agency collaborates with several importers and partners, including A.G Global Trade LLC, Saperavi Brothers, Vinoveli Inc., Corus Systems Inc., Georgian House of Greater Washington LLC, and the marketing company Big Sky Ranch Inc.
