In the first quarter of 2026, Georgia’s airports handled 1.6 million passengers, marking a 4% year-on-year increase, according to Geostat. Of the total, 0.8 million passengers departed (up 5.3%) and 0.8 million arrived (up 3.3%).
During the same period, Georgian airports recorded around 0.9 thousand cargo flights, a 6.2% increase compared to the previous year, indicating steady growth in air traffic activity.
Overall, 191,000 passengers were transported by air cargo and charter services, up 58% annually, while 30.5 thousand tons of cargo were moved, representing an 18% decline compared to the previous year.
