Georgia’s average monthly nominal salary increased by 9.9% year-on-year, or GEL 194.5, reaching GEL 2,165.2 in 2025, according to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat). Salaries rose across almost all sectors.
The highest average salaries were recorded in finance and insurance (GEL 4,123.6) and information and communication (GEL 4,042.6). Men earned an average of GEL 2,586.5, compared with GEL 1,743.4 for women, while Tbilisi had the highest regional average at GEL 2,565.
Average salaries in the private sector reached GEL 2,301, up 8.7%, while public-sector salaries rose 12.8% to GEL 1,895.4. The public-sector average was GEL 405.6, or 17.6%, lower than in the private sector.
