Georgia’s Bay Leaf Exports Increased to $17.3 MLN in 1H26

Georgia exported 4.2 thousand tons of bay leaves worth $17.3 million in January-June 2026, according to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture. Export value increased by 23% year-on-year, while volumes grew by 27%.

Compared with the same period in 2025, exports rose by 896 tons and generated an additional $3.3 million in revenue. The average export price of Georgian bay leaves stood at $4.1 per kilogram.

China remained the largest market for Georgian bay leaves, accounting for 73% of exports. Russia was the second-largest destination, receiving 15% of total exports.
