According to Geostat foreign trade data, Georgia’s blueberry imports continued an upward trend in January–April 2026. During this period, the country imported 44 tons of blueberries worth $632,500, compared to $508,800 and 42 tons in the same period of 2025. This represents a 24.3% increase in value and a 4.7% rise in volume year-on-year.
The import structure shows that the vast majority of blueberries came from the Netherlands, accounting for 41 tons worth $621,500. Smaller quantities were imported from China (1.3 tons worth $9,300), Turkey (2.1 tons worth $1,300), and Armenia (100 kilograms worth $300), indicating a highly concentrated supply source.
On the export side, Georgia generated $361,100 from blueberry sales abroad in January–April 2026, with total exports reaching 21 tons. This marks a significant increase compared to the same period in 2025, when exports stood at $233,000 and 18 tons. As a result, export value rose by 54.9%, while export volume increased by 16.6%.
Notably, during this period Georgian blueberry exports were directed exclusively to the Armenian market, highlighting a narrow but growing export destination structure.
