Georgia’s Bread and Confectionery Exports Reach USD 8.8 MLN

Georgia exported USD 8.78 million worth of bread, bakery and confectionery products in the first seven months of 2026, up by 129% year-on-year. Export volumes reached 2,224 tons, including both locally produced goods and re-exports.

Uzbekistan became the largest market, with exports reaching $2.28 million and 549 tons, compared with just $143,000 and 31 tons a year earlier. Sales to Azerbaijan also increased, reaching $2 million and 829 tons, up from $1.3 million and 584 tons.

Armenia ranked third with exports of $1.6 million and 343 tons, while Georgia sold $875,000 worth of bakery products to Israel. Belarus also emerged as a new destination, receiving $853,000 worth of 98 tons during the period.

Exports to Russia also increased from last year’s low base, reaching $629,000 and 68 tons. Russia remains Georgia’s main source of imported bread, bakery and confectionery products.
