Georgia’s Competition and Consumer Agency is not currently investigating any cases of alleged dumping imports, agency head Irakli Lekvinadze told bm.ge.
Lekvinadze said the agency is open to consultations with companies that suspect dumping in their sectors, provided they have supporting evidence.
He stressed that an application alone is insufficient to establish dumping. Companies must provide data and evidence, while industry-wide cooperation is also important to demonstrate that the issue affects the sector rather than an individual business.
The agency has been responsible for enforcing Georgia’s anti-dumping legislation since June 1, 2021. Companies seeking an investigation must substantiate their claims with factual evidence.
