Georgia's Domestic Exports Down 24.4% In 2023

In 2023 the exports of Georgia (excluding non-declared exports) equaled USD 6 090.6 million, 9.1 % higher year-on-year. Share of the domestic exports in total exports constituted 45.8 % and amounted to USD 2 791.5 million, 24.4 % lower than in 2022, the Georgian National Statistic Service (GeoStat) reported.

In 2023 the share of the top ten trading partners by domestic exports in the total domestic exports of Georgia amounted to 73.1%. The top partners were Russia (USD 541.7 million), Türkiye (USD 343.8 million) and China (USD 270.0 million).

In 2023 copper ores and concentrates claimed the first place in the list of top export items, equaling USD 474.2 million, or 17% of total exports. The exports of wine of fresh grapes totaled USD 257.7 million and their share in the total exports amounted to 9.2%. The
exports of ferro-alloys occupied the third place, standing at USD 180.7 million and constituting 6.5% of the total exports.
