Georgia’s Economic Development Corporation will present its expanded mandate on October 20. Organizing the event will cost GEL 123,500, according to a contract published on the State Procurement Agency’s website.
Established in spring 2026 on the basis of the “Enterprise Georgia” program, the corporation is expected to receive GEL 200 million in 2027, including GEL 195 million for program financing and GEL 5 million for administrative expenses.
It remains unclear whether the expanded mandate will include taking over the functions of the former Partnership Fund, which is currently being liquidated. The initial 2027 budget draft does not provide for such a transfer.
Next year, the “Enterprise Georgia” program plans to co-finance around 410 businesses, support 150–200 beneficiaries through its credit guarantee scheme, provide co-financing for microbusiness loans to up to 2,300 entrepreneurs, and begin subsidizing approximately 1,000 new mortgage loans.
