“Hungary’s Foreign Minister has always been distinguished by his strong, supportive messages towards Georgia, and I have once again received his assurance that Budapest will continue to support us,” Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili declared after meeting with his Hungarian counterpart, Péter Szijjártó.
According to Darchiashvili, European integration is crucial for Georgia, and in this regard, the more allies the country has, the better its position becomes.
“I also had a bilateral meeting with the Foreign Minister. We frequently have opportunities to discuss our bilateral cooperation. The Foreign Minister has consistently demonstrated strong, supportive messaging towards Georgia, and I have once again received his commitment that Hungary will continue to support us, as European integration remains vital for us. In this context, the more friends we have, the better our position becomes, and consequently, I believe we will see very interesting results in the future,” stated Ilia Darchiashvili.
