External Merchandise Trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 4 699.4 million in January-March 2024, 6.5 percent lower year-on-year, - according to the preliminary data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
According to the document, the value of export decreased by 9.3 percent reaching USD 1 325.7 million, while the imports decreased by 5.3 percent and amounted to USD 3 373.6 million.
The trade deficit equaled USD 2 047.9 million and its share in trade turnover constituted 43.6 percent.
