Georgia’s exports continued to grow in 2026, reaching record levels in both total and domestic exports during the first nine months of the year, according to Deputy Economy Minister Vakhtang Tsintsadze. The Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development said the positive trend reflects government policies supporting local production and improving access to finance.
Tsintsadze said total exports increased by 19.6% year-on-year to a record $6.153 billion in January–September, while domestic exports, excluding re-exports, rose by 60.3% to $3.756 billion.
“The Georgian government supports the development of local production. We have support mechanisms that improve access to finance and effectively stimulate exports. These include free trade agreements, which also encourage exports,” Tsintsadze said, adding that structural reforms aimed at supporting the private sector and increasing business activity would contribute to economic growth and job creation.
In September 2026, total exports rose by 4% year-on-year to a record monthly high of $731.5 million. Domestic exports increased by 41% compared with September 2025, reaching a record $470.7 million.
