Recent foreign trade trends confirm the effectiveness of the Georgian government’s economic policy aimed at supporting local businesses, expanding domestic production and diversifying export markets, Deputy Economy Minister Vakhtang Tsintsadze said, according to the ministry.

Tsintsadze said Georgia offers local and international investors opportunities to export products to major markets, including China and the European Union, as well as other regional markets, without tariffs. He said these advantages help improve private-sector competitiveness and are reflected in the country’s growing trade figures.

Georgia’s exports exceeded $731 million in September, marking a record for the month, Tsintsadze said. In January–September 2026, exports increased by more than 19% year-on-year, surpassing $6.1 billion and setting a new record.

Foreign trade turnover also reached a record high during the first nine months of 2026, rising by more than 9% to exceed $20 billion, according to the deputy minister.
