External Merchandise Trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 14 319.4 million in 2021, 25.6 percent higher year-on-year, -show the preliminary data from the National Statistics Office Of Georgia.
According to the report, the value of export increased by 26.9% reaching USD 4 242.3 million, while the import increased by 25.1% and amounted to USD 10 077.0 million.
The trade deficit equaled USD 5 834.7 million and its share in trade turnover constituted 40.7%.
