Georgia’s economy is set to exceed GEL 100 billion in 2025, with nominal GDP per capita surpassing $10,000 for the first time,- GD Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced during a government meeting.

According to Kobakhidze, data published by the National Statistics Office (Geostat) show that economic growth reached 7.6% in January–October, indicating that the year-end result will likely exceed the 7.2% forecast made by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

“The IMF has already revised its forecast, raising the growth estimate to 7.2%, although the final figure for the year might be even higher. This will mark the first time in history that Georgia’s economy exceeds GEL 100 billion, and nominal GDP per capita surpasses USD 10,000,” the Prime Minister said.

Kobakhidze also highlighted that the purchasing power parity (PPP) per capita indicator will reach USD 30,000 for the first time, compared to just USD 10,000 eight years ago.

“Our total GDP will surpass GEL 100 billion, and for the first time in history, nominal GDP per capita will exceed USD 10,000. By purchasing power parity, GDP per capita will exceed USD30,000 - a significant milestone considering that just eight years ago it was USD 10,000. The country is developing correctly across all economic sectors. We will do everything necessary to maintain this growth trajectory and sustain high economic growth rates,” - Kobakhidze said.
