“Georgia exported 18,200 tons of hazelnuts from August 1, 2024, to July 31, 2025, with the majority destined for the European Union market,” the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture reported.

The total export value reached USD 119.7 million. Compared to the same period last year, export volume soared by 25% (an increase of 3.6 thousand tons), while export revenue surged by 45% (an additional USD 36.9 million). The average export price rose to USD 6.59 per kilogram, a 16% year-over-year increase.

Georgia’s hazelnuts predominantly find their way to the EU, with major markets including Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Poland, and the Czech Republic. Outside Europe, exports also reach Armenia, Turkiye, China, Morocco, Russia, and Algeria, the Ministry stated.
