A new compound feed production plant, Agro Universal Georgia, has opened in the village of Karaleti, Gori Municipality, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture reports. The facility has a production capacity of 6 tons per hour, with all output intended for the domestic market.

The project was implemented with the involvement of the government and international partners. The company has been a beneficiary of the Rural Development Agency since 2023, receiving a total of GEL 1,178,833 in state co-financing.

Of this amount, GEL 500,000 was provided under the Co-Financing Project for Processing and Storage Enterprises to establish a grain processing facility, while GEL 678,833 was allocated in 2023–2025 through the Preferential Agrocredit Program to complete construction, develop infrastructure and purchase and install production lines.

According to the ministry, Agro Universal Georgia is equipped with modern machinery supplied by Turkish company Alapala and uses premixes, formulations and technological expertise from Hungary’s Agrofeed. Deputy Agriculture Minister Lasha Dolidze, local government officials and representatives of the diplomatic corps and companies from the Netherlands, Turkey and Hungary attended the opening. Dolidze said the project demonstrates how government support, private initiative and international expertise can create new opportunities for agricultural development and strengthen local production.
