According to Geostat data, in 2025, there were 2,731 economic entities engaged in hotel services operating in Georgia, owning a total of 2,783 hotels and hotel-type establishments (including local units and branches). This figure is 4.5% higher compared to 2024.
Last year, the highest number of hotels and hotel-type establishments operated in the Autonomous Republic of Adjara (21.3%) and Tbilisi (20.9%).
The most common organizational and legal form for economic entities providing hotel services was the "Individual Entrepreneur," accounting for 65.5% of the total number of operating hotels and hotel-type establishments in 2025; 33.3% were Limited Liability Companies (LLCs), and 0.5% were Joint Stock Companies (JSCs).
In 2025, the total area of operating hotels and hotel-type establishments in Georgia was 3 million 964 thousand square meters, which is 9.8% more than the corresponding figure for 2024. Last year, the total bed capacity in operating hotels and hotel-type establishments reached 120.2 thousand, an increase of 6% compared to the 2024 figure. The total number of rooms increased by 6.1% compared to the previous year, reaching 54.3 thousand in 2025.
Additionally, hotels and hotel-type establishments employed 29,101 people, the majority of whom (54.5%) were women.
