Georgia’s exports of ice cream and other edible ice products fell sharply in the first five months of 2026. According to Geostat, exports totaled $253,000 and 38 tons between January and May, down from $759,000 and 67 tons during the same period in 2025. Export value declined by 66.6%, while export volume dropped by 43.2% year-on-year.
During the reporting period, Georgian ice cream was exported to just three markets. Armenia was the largest destination, importing $225,000 worth of products (19 tons), followed by the United States with $20,000 (18 tons) and Azerbaijan with $7,000 (around 900 kilograms).
Meanwhile, Georgia imported 537 tons of ice cream worth $3.6 million, compared with 604 tons valued at $3.4 million a year earlier. While the value of imports increased by 5.2%, import volumes declined by 11%, indicating higher average import prices.
According to Geostat, the country’s ice cream exporters during the period were Ice Land Georgia, Milk & Honey, Minimelts Georgia, and Georgia Frozen Berries. The largest importers included Agrohub, Ice Land Georgia, Europroduct, Intrade, Mars Georgia, Minimelts Georgia, Trade Team, Foodservice, Sharm Trading, and Gel Lato Georgia. Ice Land Georgia and Minimelts Georgia appeared on both the exporter and importer lists. Geostat noted that the companies are listed alphabetically rather than by trade volume.
