Georgia spent more than half a million dollars on playing card imports during the first quarter of 2026, according to the latest data published by Geostat.
More precisely, from January to March 2026, Georgia imported 55 tons of playing cards with a total value of $527,600. For comparison, during the same period in 2025, the import volume stood at 58 tons, worth $339,000.
According to the data, import value increased significantly despite the slight decline in volume. In year-on-year terms, the value rose by 55.6%, while the volume decreased by 5.1%. This indicates that the cost of imported playing cards has increased for Georgia.
Geostat reports that in the first quarter of 2026, the country paid an average of $9.5 per kilogram for playing cards.
