Georgia exported 17,138 tons of wine worth $52.3 million in the first quarter of 2026, marking a 5.5% increase in value and a 3.6% rise in volume compared to the same period last year, according to official statistics.
Russia remains the dominant export destination, accounting for over 62% of total wine exports, or $32.6 million worth of shipments (11,140 tons). Smaller but notable volumes were shipped to Poland, Ukraine, China, Kazakhstan, and the United States.
Average export prices also increased, with 1 liter of Georgian wine reaching $3.05, up from $2 in the previous year. However, performance across markets was mixed: exports to Poland, Ukraine, China, Kazakhstan, and the US declined, while shipments to Russia, Germany, Belarus, Latvia, and Lithuania increased.
Among individual markets, Germany recorded the highest unit price at $4.48 per liter, followed by the US at $5.80, while Russia remained one of the lower-priced but largest-volume destinations at $2.93 per liter.
