According to Geostat, hotels and hotel-type establishments in Georgia served 6.2 million guests in 2025, representing a 6.5% increase compared to the previous year.
Foreign VisitorsForeigners accounted for 62.7% of total guests. The largest share came from Israeli citizens, with 555.4 thousand guests (14.3% of total guests), reflecting a 1% increase compared to 2024.Citizens of Russia and Turkey ranked second and third, respectively. Citizens of the European Union made up 10.4% of the total foreign guests.
Purpose of VisitThe vast majority of foreign guests visiting hotels and hotel-type establishments from abroad traveled for holiday and recreation (92%). Business trips accounted for 4.5%, while 0.7% were related to medical treatment.
Recreational VisitorsAmong foreign guests staying in hotel-type accommodations for leisure and recreation, citizens of Israel and the Russian Federation made up the largest shares (14.7% and 12.9%, respectively).
