“The former head of the Co-Investment Fund, Giorgi Bachiashvili, crossed Georgia’s border on March 2, bypassing the border checkpoint, using a special hiding place in a car, in the direction of Armenia,” reads the statement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
According to the MIA, Giorgi Bachiashvili presented a passport confirming his citizenship of the Russian Federation at the Armenian border.
“The MIA keeps on with relevant investigative activities to identify and arrest accomplices of the crime on which the Ministry will regularly update society. Giorgi Bachiashvili has been charged with illegal crossing the state border,” reads the MIA statement.
