Giorgi Bakradze, the adviser to the Governor of the National Bank, is a candidate for membership of the Board of the NBG. He came to the President's administration for an interview.
Bakradze confirms to bm.ge that he is a candidate for the NBG board membership.
"I decided to participate in the competition because I meet the requirements and I want to try. At this stage, I had an interview with the head of the presidential administration. The questions were about what I can do if I become a board member," Giorgi Bakradze told bm.ge.
In addition to Giorgi Bakradze, according to reports, the candidates for membership of the NBG board are Archil Iakobashvili, manager of the portfolio of foreign exchange reserves of the National Bank, Dimitri Japaridze, professor of economics at Iliauni, and Maia Gikoshvili, deputy director of the United Water Supply Company.
According to the administration of the President of Georgia, 19 applications were submitted to the administration for the vacant positions for the Board of the National Bank and 8 candidates were selected.
Application for membership could be submitted to the President's Administration until March 15.
