“Gotsiridze Winery” is expanding its assortment. The company’s founder, Andro Gotsiridze, spoke about this in an interview with BM.GE.

According to the winemaker, the company currently produces four types of wine. These are: Rkatsiteli, Saperavi, Pink Saperavi and French Cabernet Sauvignon. Two types of Georgian wine varieties, Muscat Rkatsiteli and Pink Rkatsiteli, will be added to the assortment this year.

“In 2024, there was a good harvest, unlike 2023. Accordingly, we decided that this year we will produce new Georgian varieties. We have French Cabernet Sauvignon, which is produced using Kakhetian technology and is a novelty. We sell these wines mainly in specialized wine markets and boutiques. The price of our wines is within 35-45 GEL,” - Gotsiridze said.

The winemaker also speaks about the impact of the events in the country and states that this sector has also been hit hard, since the shops where their wine is sold are mainly located in the central districts of Tbilisi. These are: Sololaki, Mtatsminda and the areas surrounding Rustaveli. Accordingly, Gotsiridze said that in the current situation, even if there were a tourist flow, they would avoid these places.

“Gotsiridze Winery” is a family wine cellar. The winery has been operating since 2018 and owns 3 hectares of vineyards in the village of Artana, Telavi district, and 2 hectares of vineyards in Tsinandali. The amount of wine produced per year is about 5,000 bottles. To equip the enterprise, the winery received production equipment worth 20,000 GEL from the agency "Enterprise Georgia". Up to 80,000 GEL has been invested to fully equip the enterprise.
