The government will decide today which companies will get international status – Georgia's PM Giorgi Gakharia announced before the government session.
According to Gakharia, companies associated with the naval business and IT-companies will have the chance to acquire an International status. PM states that the Tax Code's modification since 2019 has allowed the government to identify the companies who get the International status and grant them important tax breaks.
"This is very important – Georgia's PM said – because in the post-pandemic economic recovery, the competition on the global market will be very intense. So, we give a chance to Georgian companies to obtain the status and also, the opportunity to the international companies to come to Georgia and work from here."
