The Georgian government has approved a GEL 1.1 million direct (simplified) procurement for the organization of the Tbilisi International Theatre Festival.
According to the decree, the Tbilisi International Arts Festival Center was granted permission to bypass a competitive tender process under the Law on Public Procurement. The decision was justified by the need to ensure the smooth and timely execution of a state- and public-interest cultural event.
The allocated funds will be used to purchase goods and services required for the festival, with financing coming from the 2026 budget of the Tbilisi Municipality and the center’s legally permitted additional revenues.
