The Georgian Dream government has approved the feasibility studies for two solar power plants, Patardzeuli 1 and Patardzeuli 2, in Kakheti.
According to a decree by GD Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, an agreement will be signed between the commercial operator of the electricity system (ESCO) and the plant developer, Kakheti Sun LLC, to implement both projects.
Public registry data shows that Velia LLC owns 100% of Kakheti Sun LLC, with Nino Mchedlishvili holding 67% and Lasha Iordanishvili holding 33%.
Project details:
- Patardzeuli 1: Installed capacity of 1.75 MW, estimated annual electricity production of 2.96 million kWh.
- Patardzeuli 2: Installed capacity of 1.75 MW, estimated annual electricity production of 2.84 million kWh.
These projects are part of Georgia’s ongoing efforts to expand renewable energy capacity and diversify its electricity production.
