The Georgian government announces a list of medicines that will be subject to reference pricing.

Over 1,300 chronic and oncological drugs will be included in the reference pricing system in the first stage, with the number of medications continuously increasing.

As of February 15, importers, wholesalers, and retailers must decide the maximum higher limit for drug prices.

The measure is intended to improve access to medications, according to the government’s statement.

The list of medicines, which are subject to reference pricing, was published in the Legislative Herald. The decree was signed by the Minister of Health Zurab Azarashvili. The list includes such medicines as "Amoxicillin", "Losartan", "Amiodarone", "Azithromycin", "Bisopropol", "Metformin", "Methylprednisolone", etc.
