The Government of Georgia has issued an order transferring 3.2 million square meters of land area from the Georgian Development Fund (formerly the Partnership Fund) to the Ministry of Economy. The property includes land plots located in both Tbilisi and various regions of the country.
Specifically, the land parcels include areas near Okrokana and Didi Lilo in Tbilisi; in Imereti, lands in the cities of Kutaisi, Khoni, and Tkibuli; in Adjara, a site north of D. Aghmashenebeli Avenue in Kobuleti; and in Samegrelo and Kakheti, plots in Senaki (village Gejeti) and Lagodekhi (village Matsimi).
On March 4, the Parliament of Georgia approved the liquidation of the Georgian Development Fund. The decision marks a key step in restructuring state investment and development assets.
While a new law defining the operation of the Economic Development Bank has not yet been initiated, it is known that the former Development Fund will merge with the Ministry of Economy’s "Enterprise Georgia" program, consolidating state support for investment and business development.
