Accommodation and dining prices in Gudauri are expected to rise by no more than 3–5% this winter compared with last year, Miranda Esakia, co-founder of the Mountain Resorts Business Association (GMRBA), told TV program Women’s Narrative.
Esakia said businesses do not anticipate significant price increases despite rising operating costs, noting that prices had already risen substantially last year.
Winter bookings are already active, and the association expects strong tourist demand, including in February. Visitors are expected primarily from Gulf countries, particularly expatriates living in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, as well as from Eastern European markets.
The official winter season opening at Georgia’s mountain resorts is scheduled for December 20.
