GWP was fined by GEL 50,000. As reported by the Georgian National Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (GNERC), based on the appeal of the Rustavi Municipality City Hall, a public meeting was held to discuss the violations identified in the water supply systems of Rustavi owned by Georgian Water and Power LLC.
In accordance with the decision, the company was fined with GEL 50,000 in favor of the state budget, and the company was given appropriate deadlines to eliminate the identified violations.
"In particular, Georgian Water and Power LLC was ordered to complete the work of the water supply systems of Rustavi and the city of "Preparation of detailed projects of measures to be implemented for the purposes of compliance of Rustavi water supply systems with the technical standards in force in Georgia (taking into account the appropriate infrastructure) and submission of a plan-schedule for the implementation of the works specified in the projects to the Regulatory Commission.
According to the decision of the Commission, Georgian Water and Power LLC must submit to the Regulatory Commission by November 30 of the current year detailed information related to the investment projects agreed with the Rustavi City Hall to be implemented in 2026", - reads the statement released by the Regulatory Commission.
