Insurance company Ardi has received hundreds of claims following the recent hailstorm in Tbilisi, with the vast majority involving damaged vehicles, according to CEO Mikheil Japaridze.
The company is currently processing claims and assessing losses, while operating in an enhanced response mode to contact all affected policyholders. Although the exact value of damages is not yet known, Japaridze said a clearer picture should emerge in the coming days.
He noted that some claims, particularly from businesses, were reported later as companies only discovered damage to vehicle fleets and other assets after returning to work following the weekend.
The hailstorm that struck Tbilisi on June 20 also generated significant claims for other insurers, including Aldagi, which reported extensive damage to both private and corporate vehicles.
