The state has allocated an additional 82 million GEL to the “Harvest Management Company” to ensure the smooth completion of the grape harvest.

According to the agency, the process is of high state and public importance, and annual measures are taken to support winegrowers. However, factors such as prices, weather, and private sector demand make it impossible to predict the exact volume of the harvest in advance.

For the October 2025 harvest, a record 330,000 tons of grapes were processed in Georgia, cultivated by 21,200 grape growers across the country. Approximately 200,000 tons of the harvest were purchased by the private sector, while the state purchased the remainder. With the additional funds, the total 2025 harvest subsidy will reach 157 million GEL.

Under the subsidy, the state company purchased Saperavi grapes from winegrowers at 1.5 GEL per kilogram, and Rkatsiteli and other varieties at 1.2 GEL per kilogram.
