In the first 6 months of this year, hazelnut exports increased by almost 54% to USD 53 million. In particular, this year, hazelnuts worth USD 52.8 million have been exported from Georgia, while last year the value of exported hazelnuts was USD 34.2 million.
The main export market for Georgian hazelnuts is the European Union countries, where hazelnut exports increased to USD 30.1 million this year.

As for the price, according to Geostat, a total of 7.1 million kilograms of hazelnuts were exported in January-June, which means that the average price per 1 kg. of hazelnuts was about USD 7.4. In the corresponding period of 2024, the average price was about USD 6.6.
