Significant inaccuracies have been identified in cadastral maps across Armenia, according to Suren Tovmasyan, Chairman of the Cadastre Committee, during a press conference on January 7. These discrepancies range from a few centimeters to 150-180 meters.

In 2024, the agency revised cadastral maps in 155 settlements, continuing work started in previous years: 158 settlements were corrected in 2022, and 187 in 2023. Currently, work is underway in another 40 settlements. The committee plans to complete the first phase of cadastral map revisions by mid-2026.

Tovmasyan emphasized that the issue is not about clarifying boundaries between neighboring plots but involves large-scale adjustments at the block level. This is essential for the proper placement of state infrastructure and to prevent further complications.

Simultaneously, efforts are being made to standardize addresses. According to Tovmasyan, 2024 marked a turning point in this direction, with the creation of a unified address registry integrated with the mapping system.

To date, approximately 1.2 million addresses have been identified and added to the database. However, around 400,000 address records remain nearly impossible to identify.
